DRDO Lab Develops Detonator for Nuclear Capable Agni-V Missile As It Gets Ready For Launch

With the DRDO lab Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL) having developed the detonator which triggers the nuclear explosion and aids the successful take off of the 5,000 kilometer range Agni-V nuclear missile, state-run DRDO has confirmed that it has reached the final phase of the test. Indian Army to Conduct Tests on Agni Missile Variants this Month

The Indian Army will shortly be conducting flight tests of two Agni variant missiles in order to validate their performance in real time as well as test their lethality as weapons. The two missiles to be test-fired include the 700 kilometer range Agni I missile and 2,000 kilometer range Agni II missile. The tests on these Agni missiles, developed by Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), will begin this August and they will occur off the coast of Orissa from the Integrated Test Range complex. India Developing Agni-V Missile with 5,000 Kilometer Range

During a conference organized by Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Indian Defence Minister A.K Anthony has revealed that India is developing a 5,000 kilometer range ‘Agni’ ballistic missile. He added that DRDO has immense capabilities to deliver substantial missile technology which can augment our military capability.
