India to go for Upgraded Engine for the Indo-Russian Fifth Generation T-50 Fighter Jet

The joint design and development of the fifth generation stealth fighter plane Sukhoi T-50 by India and Russia has seen a new twist as India has indicated that it seeks a more powerful engine. India’s SU-30 MKI to be upgraded to Super Sukhoi By Russia

Irkut Corporation of Russia has indicated that the Indian Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter aircraft squadron is to be upgraded into a “Super Sukhoi” by incorporating certain fifth generation aircraft features. The Su-30 MKI upgrade was announced at the MAKS 2011 airshow in Russia by the President and Chairman of the Board of Irkut Corporation of Russia and India and Russia will finalize the exact nature of the upgrade. Indo-Russian T-50 Fifth Generation Fighter Likely to Contend for South Korean Tender

The export version of the T-50 fifth generation fighter aircraft (FGFA) being jointly developed by India and Russia is likely to compete in a South Korean tender for 60 advanced fighter aircraft with stealth capability. Russia Delivers another Batch of MIG Fighters to India

As India awaits the delivery of the refurbished Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov, Russia has started the delivery of 11 MiG fighter planes which India will use to equip the aircraft carrier. According to MiG Corporation, 11 MiGs have been dispatched and five more will be delivered by the end of 2011. The contract for 16 MiG-29K/KUB is a part of the refurbishment of the aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov by Russia for the Indian Navy. Read More...
